My only experience with being a cat owner is with the cat my daughter Michele used to have.  Buffy only wanted Michele and if she wasn't around Buffy was totally out of sight.
Millie and Annabel have truly been blessings in our life.
A major surgery had put me home for many months.  My husband had a hard time convincing me a kitty would help me recover.  I rode to Kearney with one foot on the imaginary passenger side brake just hoping he would change his mind and go back home without a cat.  Millie came to our house first and within a week I was in love.  She was constantly on my lap wanting affection or just sitting on my lap to "chat".
Within a month hubby decided Millie needed one of her sisters so reluctantly I rode back to Kearney and we purchased Annabel.  She is not has openly affectionate as Millie is but between the two of them I have spent what could have been very long days at home with two wonderfully beautiful and loving pets.  In Annabel's defense, the longer we have her the more affectionate she is becoming.  Millie just started out wanting to be near you all of the time.  I cannot say enough about the Ragamuffin breed.  One might say I am a kitty convert.  If I could I would have another one in a heartbeat.  Millie and Annabel are both fun and funny to watch play, their persistent curiosity keeps us on our toes, and our family members love them as well.  They quickly adjusted to their new home.  Neither one of them keep their toys picked up.  But who cares!!!!!  They are worth every penny.  I would recommend this breed to anyone wanting a pet for companionship.  The entertainment they provide is just a bonus.  I am sold!!!!!

Max is a doll.  Loves to smother you.  He has gained 11 oz.  since he's been here.  Loves to watch me on the computer with his nose into everything. My Grandkids love him even the boys.  We went out the other day and  found them a chocolate lab.  He's only 7 weeks old so they can't really play with him.  Hope he survives the attention.   So we have babies.

I woke the other night and Max had his head under my chin, couldn't get any closer.  He is going through Mookie and Darby withdrawal (puppy friend visiting for Christmas).  My son remarked the other day how well behaved he is with the kids.  He lets them carry him around the house and loves every minute.

I thought you'd be entertained to have an update on our Life and Times with Ms Mary Polly Ragamuffin and to hear of a few of her charming antics!!

At our house, we never cease to be amazed and delighted with this gregarious bundle of fluff and activity, and how different from the typical domestic feline she really is!!  We know; we have two, of the 'later'!

Now, I have to confess that I have always been a loyal dog lover first, but this Ms Polly is forcing her way into our hearts, in such a way, that I may have to seriously consider shifting my allegiance, cuz she is all the joy of a wonderful inside companion, with about half the work of a canine!  I'm telling you, there is no way one could ever be lonely with a ragamuffin at home. Mary Polly literally follows us from room to room during her waking hours. Yes, she does get plenty of exercise in our busy household, of three floors,  just keeping up with who is happening where!!

And social....I've got to share that she makes it her business to know who is coming and going around here at all times.  Funny thing: When the door bell rings, or the dog barks, indicating that something is about to go on, she is on the spot, because she probably needs to be in on it, or supervise, at least!  Sometimes, she is even awakened from a sound afternoon nap in the sunny window corner to go flying to the front door to greet, or check out a visitor. If it happens to be the neighbor kids, she'll definitely stick around for a most certain game of chase, hide and seek, or even pull away with one of her favorite toys.  We often wonder if she is having an identity crisis in that she acts more like our Silky Terrier canine than like our cats. She'd almost put a watch dog to shame except she's far too peaceful for that job! She hasn't yet conquered the 'bark'! :)

Here is a frisky antic for you. If there isn't a thing interesting going on and Mary Polly is already well rested, she's been known to go over and bite our Silky Terrier in the rear and tap him on the back to get a game going, or she'll quietly saunter up behind him and sit down directly on his sleepy head for some intramural wrestling. 'Most' of the time, he will oblige her, unless she gets too rough. What a tomboy that girl kitty Muffin is!

And, Oh My, you must know about her 'rise and shine' service!  Polly baby is absolutely hilarious in her attempts to get us up and moving in the morning---and I do mean every single morning that the sun rises....she is on the job!  Now, I will have to say, that she does vary her wake up service time depending on if the day starts out cloudy or sunny. We usually get to sleep an extra half hour on cloudy days.

The lengths to which she will go to get us out of bed range from mischievous to totally endearing. Most of the time she has a routine which is to jump on the bed and come quietly mew in my ear, once, twice, three times....whatever it takes to get us to stir, then she walks on us, til we grown, as she is getting heavier with normal growth. Ah, then she wanders on over to the lamp table where she rattles the beads on the edge and bangs on the shade some to be sure it is loud enough to be heard by drowsy humans. She continues by sauntering back over to the bed and prancing behind our heads on the pillows until she settles in behind my head, where she stays parked and turns up her Purr as she re-accesses her next strategy.

My favorite endearing endeavor comes next: If I am wanting just a few more precious moments of shut eye and am seriously trying to avoid the purring alarm, I cover my head with sheets and the heavy comforter, only to experience a gentle massage with 2 little white mitts that have found their way under the maze of blankets. The claws are ever so slightly extended, just enough to act like massage combs that send relaxing tingles down the back spine and muscles!!

Ah yes, Mary Polly, you win; it is truly time to start a new day! Let's get up and get you a kitty treat and me a fresh cup of hot coffee, and I'll watch you wrestle your lizard and snakes buried under the scatter rugs in the night!

Ya know, Susan, I'm thinking there ought to be a darling Ragamuffin in every single pet loving home, don't you think?

Thanks for enhancing our lives with one special tom-boy lady "Ms Mary Polly Ragamuffin"!

Now some words from the new owners of kittens in their forever homes.
Enjoy!
Marcello has been such a joy!
He and Nicky are best buds – as you can see in the picture.
The other day I took Marcello to the vet and when we got home, Nicky was sleeping near the door waiting for him.  It was so cute.

Anna-Boo is such a wonderful cat!  I enjoy all her antics, her mews and how she loves to be scratched!  When you call her name, her tail goes up and she swishes it like a princess.
The best moment in each day is when Anna is in her basket, laying belly up and I go over to give her some pets. She purrs like mad and that is one of the best sounds in the world!!
Of all the kittens I have watched grow at GW Muffins, Anna Boo is my favorite!  She is the best of all "Muffins"! I hope everyone else feels that way about their "Muffins"!!
Anna Boo has completed my fur-family,  I look forward to all the years we have together.
